Darjeeling tours has some very fascinating places of interest, which is also known as the "Queen of the Hills". Darjeeling is mainly known for Botanical Gardens that contain a collection of Himalayan plants, flower and orchids. Amidst the fragrant tea gardens which seem to flow over the layered slopes like emerald swells on a rough sea. Site Seeing - Darjeeling is like traveling back in time to the days of the British Raj, a vertical Victorian London - like town populated with oriental faces. Church spires and brick chimneys dominate the skyline of Darjeeling.

Tiger Hill - Tiger Hill is situated at an altitude of 2590 metres (8482 ft.) and 13 kms from the Darjeeling, Tiger Hill has famous for the magnificent view of the sunrise over "Kanchenjunga" and the great Eastern Himalayan Mountains. Even Mount Everest, the world's highest peak, is visible from here.

Batasia Loop - The Batasia Loop is the railway loop in which the Toy train takes a unique turn of 360?; this Railway Loop is a marvellous feat of engineering. A glorious view of snowy peak and town can be seen from Batasia Loop. It also has a war memorial for the patriotic Gorkha soldiers of Darjeeling hills.

Rock Garden and Ganga Maya Park - Rock Garden and Ganga Maya Park is interesting picnic spot of. It is about 10 km away from the center of Darjeeling. The park entices its visitors with water sports.

Lloyds Botanical Garden - Lloyds Botanical Garden contains a representative collection of Himalayan plants, flowers, orchids etc. Lloyd's Botanical Garden displays a fine collection of Himalayan fauna for those with an interest. The highlight of this botanical garden is the two famous living fossils called the Phantom.

Dhirdham Temple - Dhirdham Temple is built in the style of Katmandu's Pashupatinath temple adds to the varied religious architectural styles of Darjeeling.

The Shrubbery - The Shrubbery beautiful garden is situated on the Jawahar Parbat behind Raj Bhawan. A magnificent view of Kanchenjunga Range and Singla Valley can be enjoyed from here.

Apart from above site seeing Garg World Amusement Park, Lebong Race Course, Darjeeling Rangeet Valley Passenger Ropeway, Chowrasta, Obeservatory Hill, Tibetan Refuge Camp, Mirik and Happy Valley Estate Darjeeling are the best tourist attraction in and around Darjeeling.

How to reach Darjeeling

By Air - The nearest airport to Darjeeling is Bagdogra about 94-96 kms away from Darjeeling. There are direct flight connections with Delhi, Calcutta and Guwahati.

By Train - The major railhead is at new jalpaiguri, which is just about 95 km from Darjeeling. All trains going towards Guwahati pass through New Jalpaiguri.

By Road - Well-maintained roads connect Darjeeling to the other places in and around West Bengal. The state transports have buses that regularly shuttle between Darjeeling and these places. Siliguri, Bagdogra, Gangtok, Kurseong and Kathmandu are easily connected to Darjeeling by roads.

Climate Best season to visit Darjeeling is from September to June. September to November is ideal for sight seeing and outings. February to June is ideal for all tourist activities in Darjeeling. Summers (April to June) are mild with maximum temperature never crossing 25°C. Spring (February to March) is charming with moderate climate. This season is best with scenic beauties.
